2018 Mustang Revealed

The 2018 Mustang was officially revealed a few days ago, and so far it has received mixed reviews. Most were negative because 2018 Ford has updated both the exterior and interior look of the Mustang.

The new front fascia of the vehicle has been lowered by 20 millimeters in order to give it a more aggressive look, but many say it has given it a less aggressive profile. The headlights now resemble those of a Jaguar F-Type due to the shape and angles. The back retains the classic tri-bar signature lights, but with a modest improvement. The new 2018 Mustang GT now has a quad-exhaust instead of the dual-exhaust its predecessor had.

Personally, I think the new Mustang looks better in darker colors such as black, gray, or blue. Images leaked the night before the official announcement showed a yellow Mustang, and yellow isn’t the best color to reveal a brand new car in. The Ford Mustang is slowly transforming from a muscle car that was only fast in a straight line into a real sports car that can perform on the track, and it has the styling of a European super car to go along with it. The biggest change you’ll see in the interior is going to be the gauge-cluster. It now sports fully digital gauges instead of the traditional gauges seen in the current 2017 and under Mustangs. However, word is that it’s an option and not standard on all Mustangs, but that remains to be seen. Other news that came out regarding the Mustang is that Ford has officially dropped the V6 Mustang from its lineup.

Since 2015, the Mustangs have been offered with 3 different engine choices: The base model 3.7 liter V6 engine, the 2.3 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder EcoBoost engine, and the 5.0 liter V8 engine. RIP V6. The EcoBoost Mustang will not receive the quad-exhaust, and it remains to be seen what else the EcoBoost Mustang will and will not receive with this new refresh. Stay tuned to the Ford website for any new Mustang updates.
