HHS Community Leaf Rake

HHS Community Leaf Rake

Harry Cole, Editor

It’s that time of year again! Football season is over (for Heritage), the weather is getting colder, and the annual ‘HHS Community Leaf Removal Day’ is just around the corner.

A message from Mr. Caldwell:

“Volunteers are needed to serve as “yard rakers,” for neighbors surrounding the HHS Campus while working alongside friends and students.

Volunteers should meet at the Heritage High School office (1114 South 5th Street) between 7:45 and 8:00 am to receive team placement and their location assignment. Volunteers will need to be at their assigned location at approximately 8:00 a.m. and remain there until their yard is done and then proceed to the next residence.

Volunteers are asked to dress for the weather, which is traditionally a little chilly – especially as this is a morning project!

We have an online sign-up form that volunteers can use to register.  It simply asks for their name and email address so we can contact them in the event of bad weather.

We could really use a large number of volunteers (100) for this event, so please share the info and link!”
