Heritage freshman football played Rogers High School at David Gates Stadium on Monday night and bested the Mounties by more than a touchdown.

At the beginning of the game, Rogers made the first touchdown but Heritage fought back for the win. In the 4th quarter, the score was 26-20 with under two minutes left, and the War Eagles drove down the field for another score to win the game 33-20.

“We would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible,” said Cade Miller (9), the starting quarterback.

Linebacker Terrail Myers (9) echoed Miller’s positivity.

“It’s not wanting to win that makes you a winner, it’s refusing to fail,” he said.

At halftime, the freshman dance team performed “FloRida Mix.”

The next freshman football game is Monday, Sept. 27 at Bentonville High. Go support your Heritage War Eagles!
