With Memorial Day approaching, the relentless sunshine of Summer is finally here. Though high temperatures await, ties to your favorite pieces may be forced to sever momentarily or at least until a chillier late night comes to the rescue. In can go without being said, that summer can be brutal. Your outfit’s persona doesn’t have to lack, even if you’re spending most of your summertime moving in between the baking hot sunshine and chilly air-conditioned interiors. Here are a few guiding principles to help you keep your cool this summer.

1) Invest in the right accessories:

As prevalent as ever, Summer time is the worst time to have loaded pockets. High temperatures and loaded pockets do not mix well. With that being said, investing in the right bag can be the perfect necessity for the summer, not to mention it is incredibly functional. A perfect addition to a summer wardrobe is a nice pair of sunglasses. The right shades can come in clutch all summer long, providing the perfect rescue from the sunshine. A bag an a pair of shades can be the perfect accessories, made to be used all summer long and for many seasons to come.

2) Venture into the world of seersucker:

Coming in many variations, seersucker is the prime fabric to sport all summer long. Whether it be in the fashion of a short sleeve button-down shirt, a pair of pants, or even a suit, the crisp weave of cotton allows for a circulation of air throughout the garment. Staying cool is the top priority for everyone this summer, and adorning the clean, crisp aesthetic that seersucker provides is the perfect way to stay cool and look stylish all summer long.

3.) Ditch the sleeves:

In the wake of rising temperatures and plenty of sunshine, summertime offers the prime circumstances for the short-sleeve button-down shirt. There’s no doubting the notion that summer’s atmosphere can often times emit an irritable vibe, occurring from high temperatures and the occasional sunburn. When taking on the heat of the season, a short-sleeve button-down can be the most fitting wingman. The idea of a short-sleeve button-down shirt is a relatively contemporary revelation, but is one that offers a cool look that can be dressed up or dressed down.
