HHS Marching Band received straight division ones for the first time since 2016.

They performed a non-audience Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association (ASBOA) Region VI Marching Assessment.

“I was relieved to know that we got all 1’s which was a perfect score,” Dominic Jurado said.

The marks were awarded based on their performance of the Carmen Movement 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the Auxiliary Gym on October 27.

The perfect score qualifies them for the State Marching Contest

After state, the HHS band is going to focus on getting an all division ones in the ASBOA Concert Assessment in order to achieve the Sweepstakes Award, which is earned by schools with outstanding marching and concert bands.
