Going into senior year we all are so excited for the impending future. Some of the senior class has had to take remedial classes and are at risk of not graduating. However, other seniors are taking 5 AP classes, are involved in sports, and feed puppies at the animal shelter every Saturday. This is an example of the phenomenal variety of people and work ethics Heritage has to offer. Even though we all are very different people, we can all graduate. I will be satirically instructing future students on how to graduate.

Step 1) Freshman year take as many easy classes as you can, you must build your GPA because as the years go on, the classes become more difficult to get A’s in.

Step 2) Become involved with the school. Being in clubs and sports give you a greater reason to show up to High School. There are mornings where you don’t feel like going, but it’s much easier to attend if you have something to look forward to.

Step 3) Get your permit.

Step 4) Sophomore year sign up for AP World History. This could help your GPA as it is an AP class.

Step 5) Start looking into things that you are interested in, it’s very helpful to create a goal for yourself. Without a goal, students are more likely to disappoint their parents.

Step 6) Get your drivers license. If you want to have any life at all, you will need a license and a car. Or else you will be a Junior with your mom driving you on dates.

Step 6) Junior year try as hard as you can in school. It is imperative that you go out into the world, get a job, and create memorable experiences.

Step 7) Look into colleges or a career path.

Step 8) Have an awesome summer before senior year. This will be the last high school summer you have, make the most of it, don’t get arrested.

Step 9) Senior year, don’t drop out, take some cheap college classes like Comp and Algebra. Have fun with your friends because after high school you will more than likely never see them, sorry.

Step 10) Graduate. You’ve worked so hard to walk across that stage to be handed a card, inscribed “Rogers Heritage High School.”
