Art Appreciation Is a Doorway to HHS Fine Arts

Lexi Flores

Art appreciation is the foundation for many students who take fine arts classes at Heritage.

A lot of students have taken art appreciation to get into other art classes.

According to Tracy Collins, who teaches multiple sections of art appreciation, there aren’t any requirements to get into the class, but it does fulfill a requirement for graduation.

“There’s a variety of things to do in this class, and I wanted a change,” Collins said about why she chose to teach art appreciation.

Students enjoyed the hands-on aspects of art appreciation.

“I like how we get to do different projects, but sometimes it’s a lot of work,¨ said Okany Salinas (12).

Collins’ room is B127. Drop by if you have any questions before course registration in January and February.
