Travis Scott Arrested at the AMP
May 18, 2017
Travis Scott, Texas-native 25 year-old rapper, was arrested after his show in Rogers on his Bird’s Eye View tour. He was taken to the Benton County Detention Center after “inciting a riot” at the Walmart AMP on Saturday, May 13th. The alleged riot ensued after Scott encouraged fans to rush the pit, or move closer to the stage regardless of what ticket they bought, and having fans ignore security barriers resulting in some minor injuries. Fans have taken to social media to explain that Travis may have warned everyone to be careful on their way forward. Although Scott was only detained for literally 12 minutes, from 11:14 pm to 11:26 pm, a tag began trending online: #FreeTravisScott. Scott’s tour has not been interfered with by this incident, but this is admittedly one of the most interesting things that has happened in Arkansas since Al Capone was relevant.
