The New Chicken McNuggets, Not Lovin’ It

Juan Palma, Writer

As of late, the McDonald’s chicken nuggets have been tasting different. I conferred with some fellow writers, and we agreed that they have been changed. But not in a tasty way. We’re not lovin’ it.

Earlier this year, McDonald’s announced they were going to make big changes to some of their chicken nuggets; the goal was a more natural meat. Chicken McNuggets were first introduced back in 1983. Until recently, Chicken McNuggets haven’t gone through any drastic changes. Their taste has stayed the same, but at the cost of the food being a little unhealthy.

In attempts to make the food much healthier, they changed what was inside of the renowned McNuggets. They removed preservatives from the snack; they also removed the preservatives from their breakfast food as well, including the McGriddles, bagel and biscuit breakfast sandwich, and scrambled eggs. This announcement was made in August, and the world hasn’t been the same since.
