The sweet wafting smell of coffee, the perfectly laid out snacks on the tables, the fun interactions and laughs echoing throughout the room. The crochet club is a place where you can hang out and help obtain unique goals.
The club meets up every Thursday, in Room C103, to come together and put their creative minds to work. With their hands holding the crochet hook, they weave and thread their creations to life. The president, Lexi Gray, is open to anyone who wants to learn about the art form of crocheting.
“I’m hoping to expand the club by helping our President plan events and things for our club to do for our school. I’ve been wanting to explore my creativity, and I feel amazing helping out others who share the same passion for Crocheting.” Alejandra Toca Vanquez (12) Vice President said.
Ms. Vanquez wants to help the President expand the club to further their reach and potential by organizing events, and, in time, giving the club a goal to work towards to help fund their future projects. These plans consist of seasonal festivities such as: “Boo for my Boo,” a limited-time, cute little yarn ghost that you give to your “Boo-thang” for this Halloween’s spooky season. The club hopes to do more activities like this to engage the school’s community.
