Student film causes lockdown on Arkansas State University campus

Students at Arkansas State University were sent into lockdown on Sunday after student actors dressed in all black were mistaken for intruders. Students working on a project were filming near the student union on Sunday when other students mistakenly took them for armed gunmen. The students called 911 and reported the student actors to police, sending ASU into an hour-long lockdown. Arkansas State University officials stated that their emergency management plan was properly executed. The filmmaking students spoke to campus police and the problem was quickly resolved and the local and state authorities were notified of the false alarm. All campus activity returned to normal on Monday morning.
