Star Wars: Force for Change

Indigo Kroll

To celebrate forty years of Star Wars, the film franchise is giving fans a chance at three unique experiences. The prizes, including a trip to Skywalker Ranch, being a part of the upcoming untitled Han Solo movie, and a trip to LA to visit the cast at the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The fundraising from this benefits UNICEF, a group that works to protect child rights around the world, and the Starlight Children’s foundation, an organization that provides children with serious medical conditions with fun experiences. Entries will be allowed over the next four weeks. Donations can be as small as $10, but the more a person donates, the more entries and gifts they receive. Three contributors will be given one of the three once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and in addition, one lucky person will win all three.

Skywalker Ranch in California is where George Lucas works. An upcoming spin-off of the original Star Wars franchise will focus on Han Solo. The plot and official name have not yet been released, but the cast will include actors like Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Woody Harrelson (Zombieland), Donald Glover (also known as Childish Gambino), and Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!) as Han Solo. The final prize, an invite to the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, will take place closer to when the newest movie is released in December.

All in all, this campaign is extremely generous with its rewards, and it benefits some great
organizations. Help celebrate forty years of Star Wars and donate at omaze.com.
