Queen RiRi Stole Coins With Fenty Beauty
October 19, 2017
Rihanna left other makeup brands shaking and quivering as they watched her extreme diverse foundation shades prosper. “Look at her, stealing my customers. Taking my money. And her diverse foundation? Oh, the pain!” (@ Kylie Cosmetics, KKW Beauty, and some drugstore, and high-end brands that don’t cater darker shades towards people of color. No shade though, just tea.) Mutters salty cosmetic brands that lack diversity for people of color and those with albinism.
Rihanna’s current launch includes foundation, primer, highlighters, a “universal” lip gloss, match stix [sic], Invisimatte blotting powder, and makeup application tools. Her products are considered affordable compared to other high-end brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Makeup Forever HD Foundation, Laura Mercier, and more. The highest price for a product retails for $54 and it includes three-match stix in a “Match Stix Trio.” Her foundation retails for $34, primer costs $32, and each individual match stix cost $25. You can find more about the prices. Rihanna’s makeup is also available at local Sephora stores. She released her new makeup line on September 8, 2017, after working on it for two years, and it is cruelty-free!
From makeup to brushes and even a sponge, her foundation line came out with 40 different shades, she really went all out. Not a lot of makeup lines come out with such a variety of foundation shades which is a big problem for those who enjoy the art of makeup but fail to find their foundation color that matches their skin tone and undertone. The difficulty in limited foundation range either goes from the wrong shade or a wrong undertone. It was a notable of her to be diverse, especially for her very first launch.
All of Rihanna’s products are available on the Sephora website and the Sephora app. Her products have at least a 4-star rating, if not more. Most of her products are set at a reasonable price. Her products are lower than some sold in Sephora. Youtuber personality’s in the beauty world (beauty gurus) who reviewed almost her entire collection include: Tati Westbrook. Kyrah Stewart, Nyma Tang, Laura Lee, and more. Though there were some things they weren’t particularly fond of, beauty gurus prefer different formulas or different product. There were hardly any bad reviews on, and people genuinely seem to love it!
