PTO’s free books

The PTO is giving away “award-winning young adult literature books for free distribution,” at A and B lunch. They gave away books yesterday (April 20th) and are giving them today (April 21st). 

The books include All the Bright Places by Jennifer Nevin, Because I Am Furniture by Thalia Chaltas, Keep Holding On by Susane Colasanti; Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson , The Rules of Survival by Nancy Werlin, and Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher.

These books are based on overcoming abuse and heartbreak. The PTO women also encourage students to pick up a resource card that includes a hotline for Suicide Prevention (1-800-273-TALK), National Child Abuse Hotline (1-800-422-4453, Arkansas Child Abuse hotline 800-482-5964), Sexual Assualt (NWA Rape Crisis Center: 800-794-4175). They have also included websites for the services as well.
