Prom

Kallina Sims, Editor

The end is near. The end of the 2017-2018 school year, I mean. and before we begin the final AP tests of May, we endure April: prom season. But do not fret yet, I have some tips to help.

Prom will be this Saturday, April 14th at the John Q. Hammon Center in Pinnacle. Prom will be from 8 pm until 11 pm in the Ballroom. Get out your glitter because the theme is Glitz and Glamour. Tickets are being sold all week in the library during both lunches. Tickets are $35 per person and an additional $5 for a guest form if your date attends a different high school. At the door, tickets will be $50, so get your tickets before hand to save money! A common misconception is that only upperclassmen are welcomed, but underclassmen are also welcome if they are with an upperclassman. Coat-check will cost $5, if you are interested in that.

FCCLA is renting out tuxes for $70, so stop by the library during either lunch! They are sure to save you money, and they have many colors and sizes available. The counseling office may still have dresses available if you still do not have one. Please refer to the student handbook for the dance dress code. It’s a formal dance, but keep in mind that prom is truly about having fun, dancing, and letting go for a minute. Wear what you like, formal or not! And if you don’t like heels, please don’t force yourself to wear them. For flowers, we recommend Bloom in Bentonville. Take your date or friends, choose a place to eat, and set the reservation. Go get some cute squad photos if you like! remember that you don’t have to break the bank. Prom is what you make it. Just have fun.

So bring on the promposals!
