On The Road to State: Softball
The Lady War Eagles Softball team have a 10-2 conference record and their overall record is 18-6. They beat the Lady Bulldogs from Fayetteville High school, 8-0. They did an amazing job. They lost against Bentonville and won their recent game. They are number two, following Bentonville Tigers who are undefeated.
The War Eagles went to Little Rock, Arkansas for the state tournament. Though they lost to North Little Rock, leaving them with an overall 19-8 record.
Interview with Coach Taylor before state:
-Why do you think the team is doing so good?
“The girl’s work hard, it pays off.”
-Do you think they have a good relationship and does it show on the field?
“I think so, they have a good relationship. They play selfless, for the team.”
-Have the girls worked hard to come this far?
“Oh yeah, they’ve worked hard. No days off.”
-Have you had confidence in them the whole season?
“Oh yeah, we’ve had early struggles. It was hard adjusting to the seniors leaving.”
-Do you think the team is prepared?
“Yeah, I think they are. They still need more work.”
-Have the seniors made a big impact to you and the team?
“Definitely, just whether it’s Lindsay giving it her all, Sam’s versatility, and Taylor being a fun person.”
-Are you proud of the girls’?
“Oh yeah, really proud.”
I am currently a senior. I love feminism, my dog, and artsy things. I'm here for equality and the aesthetics life has to offer.
