NWA rainfall
March 10, 2016
Lately, the 479 has been receiving a downpour, but how much are we actually getting?
Rainfall report for the area, as of 9:00 pm, Wednesday:
- 2.00″ at the Fayetteville airport
- 1.76″ at the Rogers airport
- 2.60″ at the Fort Smith airport
- 3.20″ in Mena
This weather was well needed, as we haven’t had snow or rain since the flood in December. Southeast Arkansas, between Little Rock and Memphis totals between 5 and 8 inches, even more than Northwest Arkansas! In Northern Louisiana, a state of emergency has been declared because they have had between 8 and 13″ inches and houses are being swept away, and two people have been killed.
Not expected here soon, but if a flood occurs, go to higher ground, do not attempt driving, and if water arises in your home, go to the top floor, attic, or roof
