Coach Tiffany Taylor has produced one of the most dominant Heritage athletic programs since its founding in 2008. In just the past 4 years, Coach Taylor has led the War Eagles to the state tournament every year. The lady War Eagles have been dominant at home over the past 3 years, posting a 23-7 conference record. A huge help to the War Eagles consistent success is Senior Brittney Dean, she has posted a .415 batting average over her 4 years as a starter. Brittney says of Coach Taylor, “She’s a coach who expects the most out of everyone, she is a fair coach to everyone. I think it helps that she’s come from a college coaching background and I’ve really enjoyed having her as a coach throughout my high school career.” While Coach Taylor’s tenure has been everything but unimpressive, she is still ring chasing. It is doubtful that she will be switching teams to accomplish that goal as she is a War Eagle at heart. Heritage Softball will begin to play in the State Tournament on May 11th.

Heritage will play Northside in the first round. In Arkansas, Heritage is ranked 45 spots above the Grizzlies at 40. Northside, however, edges out Heritage in batting average, posting a .413 and Heritage at .394. This season Lora Brown leads the War Eagles batting an impressive .536. The pitchers’ matchup features Sarah Pollock (60 Strikeouts) and Sydney Green (44 Strikeouts). Thursday’s morning game will be one not many will want to miss, first pitch is in Fayetteville at 10:00.
