This summer, eight juniors from Heritage will spend six weeks at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas for a free program called Arkansas Governor’s School (AGS). From June 11 to July 22, these students will live on campus and attend classes that will develop important skills. They will meet with students from high schools all over the state. Students are chosen based on their special aptitudes in several different fields, like Choral Music, Drama, English/Language Arts, Instrumental Music, Mathematics, Natural Science, Social Science, or Visual Arts.

Being chosen means these students are some of the best Arkansas has to offer. Only 400 juniors will attend out of the many that applied from 114 schools. Below is the list of Heritage students who will be going; make sure you congratulate them when you see them!

Amber Crowe for English Language Arts
Indigo Kroll for English Language Arts
Brooke Menke for Mathematics
Amy Miller for Drama
Karsyn Robinson for Social Science
Tanveer Sandhu for English Language Arts
Sarah Thiele for English Language Arts
