A Miracle On a Tree

Bertha Villagomez, Writer

The bells are ringing, Santa pictures are being taken, and bright lights are shimmering all around. Christmas is the ultimate joyful holiday and a great, traditional way to end your year! It’s the perfect chance to surround yourself with those you love and care about. Whether you stay in-state or travel, be safe and take care! Families go around buying their Christmas trees to surround with gifts, unlike many others who don’t have the opportunity to.

Around the world, families are in need during the holidays. For a variety of reasons, not all parents can provide every child with a gift. The Salvation Army has a national program called The Angel Tree, which is designed to help these struggling children receive items on their wishlist. The Christmas tree is filled with angel tags that include the given information about the child in need; the information is the child’s name, age, and what he/she likes. After you choose which angel you would like to help, get the items on the list as provided and return to the sponsor of that angel tree (where you got the tag). With giving you will receive happiness within you.

The holidays are for everyone to enjoy. We can’t thank enough those who take action in helping families in need! Jolly O’ Christmas and tis’ the New Year!
