2018 Heritage Resolutions
The new year is here! What resolutions have been created for 2018?
February 5, 2018
2017 is over, and new year’s resolutions have taken center stage as this new year opens up new possibilities for improvements, fixes, and goals of all types. Here at Heritage, there’s a wide variety of resolutions that people are keen on fulfilling, and it’s time to look at some of them while 2018 is still fresh on everyone’s minds.
Every new year opens up opportunities to improve. That’s exactly what Harrison Downard, 10th grade Newspaper student, believes when it comes to 2018. His resolution is to stop procrastinating when it comes to working out, planning to go to the gym much more frequently this year, and to keep it as one of his top priorities. “It’ll be hard, but with some determination and faith in myself, I can do it,” Downard said.
Personal commitments aren’t the only resolutions this year. In addition to eating healthier and exercising, English teacher Kay Toole is striving to improve her students’ ACT Aspire test scores. This will get them ready for future opportunities, such as getting into good colleges and making smarter decisions.
Ashley Pledger, the school librarian, has an admirable resolution for 2018. She not only wants to laugh more this year, but also to teach Heritage students to laugh more as a whole.
Your resolution for this new year is one of several at Heritage. Don’t lose track of your path to achieving it, and have a happy new year!
